Things were unusual weather wise this season not one wet Tuesday but I hope you think the Management did the right thing in possibly for the first time in the history of the Veterans League in suggesting we called off the games on July the 19th due to the excessively high temperatures.
I will let your know in good time when the general Meeting will be held it is generally in early December. Some of the things that are planned to be on the agenda so that you can discuss it with you members are cancelled games. Teams not going into the Coronation cup if they drop out of the Madison cup. The return of paying league fees after having two years’ subscription free thanks to the kind donation left to us in will by our late committee man Mr John Berridge. Also any club intending to drop out of the league or any club applying to enter another team please inform me as soon as possible as this does affect the make up of the leagues for the 2023 season.
Or anything else you think should be on the agenda to help to improve the Veterans Leagues.
Thanks for your support during the season look after yourselves this winter see you at the General Meeting or on the green next season
Yours Sincerely
Terry Shepherdson
Veterans League Secretary
